Bio:

Dr. Anna Bauer-Mehren heads the Data Science department in research and early development at Roche Pharma in Germany. Her team supports preclinical and clinical research teams with data management and data analysis, using methods of artificial intelligence in particular. Her team analyzes high-dimensional data, such as image data, genomic information, and data from electronic patient records to better understand diseases and develop personalized therapies.

Dr. Bauer-Mehren received her PhD in bioinformatics and biomedical informatics from the University of Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona and has a master’s degree in bioinformatics from the Ludwig Maximilians University and the Technical University of Munich. She completed her postdoctoral training in the Faculty of Biomedical Informatics at Stanford University in the USA.
