Bio:

Joran Lokkerbol earned his PhD in the field of health economics at Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam and specialized in machine learning during a post-doc at Harvard and MIT. Joran is Director of the Centre of Machine Learning at the Netherlands Institute of Mental Health, where he trains mental health professionals to develop and implement data science applications in clinical practice. Joran received multiple personal grants, supporting his research work in the field of machine learning, mainly focusing on the interpretability of algorithms. In addition, Joran is involved in setting up a Data Science team at a large Dutch mental healthcare organization.
